For students living in remote rural areas, any education support sets them up for success.
They work hard. They are not only hungry for knowledge but many of them suffer from hunger for food. Education is their way out of poverty.
One of our students was raised by a single mother after his father had an accident in the city. He is now a student teacher at a catholic girls’ school. When he graduates later in the year, he will have a government teaching job, guaranteed pay and a pension. Education will have changed his family’s fortunes. He will also be in a position to help his single mother educate all the other siblings, cousins, relatives and other members of the community.
