Due to lack of any income and more so disposable income, pens cost more than 25% of a family’s income. Parents are very grateful for simple things for example this chart to help their young ones to learn English.
Families in rural villages are very community oriented, and a chart as shown would be used by siblings, cousins, extended family and neighbourhood children. In that case your donation goes even further.

Last year many students read ‘The Stubborn Ostrich and Other Stories’. This year, they had a spelling bee competition. Those in grade 3 were challenged with spelling words for example ‘meticulous’ and ‘perseverance’.
